In January 2008, Ricoh introduced the Aficio SP C220 line of color laser printers, made up of the C220, C221 and C222 models. OEM-rated print speeds were the same for both color and monochrome printing, with 16 pages per minute (ppm) for the C220 and 21 ppm for both the C221 and C222 models. The SP C240 followed in November 2011 with a print speed of 16 ppm in both color and monochrome. A duty cycle of 30,000 pages per month was listed for all four models.
The standard supplies set is made up of four all-in-one toner cartridges. Replacement toner cartridges are available in 2,000 page standard yield versions. All toner cartridges require a chip for correct printer operation.
